Incident resolved.
Dear Customers,
Another exploit affecting the KVM hypervisor in combination with the "Host" CPU type has been disclosed. Due to this repeated security risk, we have decided to permanently discontinue the CPU type "Host" and Nested Virtualization. These features will no longer be offered going forward.
Affected are only VMs on the nodes Xeon5-8 that are currently still running with the CPU type "Host", as well as customers who had requested CPU type "Host" or Nested Virtualization. For these requests, it was clearly communicated in advance that this configuration would be reverted as soon as another exploit becomes known. The affected VMs will be switched to a standard compatible profile and rebooted once in the course of the day. The interruption will last between 30 seconds and one minute.
All servers that have already been running on a standard profile since 07.07.2026 are not affected and will experience no downtime. The affected group is therefore very small.
We apologize for the short interruption and appreciate your understanding. If your server does not recover as expected, please open a support ticket and we will assist you as soon as possible.
